Autonom is a company with 100% Romanian capital, started in 2006, in Piatra Neamț and is a top 3 player, by turnover, in the main sectors of activity: operational leasing and car rentals.

The company offers modern mobility and financing solutions such as: short- and medium-term rentals, operational leasing, chauffeured transfers, temporary fleet rental, fleet management services, roadside assistance, car wash services and equipment rental, through a network unique national.

Since its establishment in 2006, the Autonom group has grown annually by double digits, reaching a turnover of over 80 million euros in 2021, with a compound annual growth rate of approximately 50% over the past 15 years. In the last 5 years, Autonom has been very active in the M&A market, making investments in 11 companies from different sectors such as finance, insurance, technology and mobility.

Autonom it is an integrated provider of mobility solutions, for companies and individuals.

Autonom is involved in its communities through the Autonom Foundation. Since 2012 it has been supporting and getting involved in education development projects. Throughout over 10 years of activity, Autonom Foundation has carried out 840 educational projects.

Autonom has partnered with Hellas Direct, an innovative insurance company operating in Greece and Cyprus, and they have created Autonom Protect, a division that sales, issues and manages insurance policies.

In June 2021, Fitch Ratings granted Autonom Services SA an IDR rating (Long-Term Issuer Default Rating) of “B+”. The corporate bond issue traded under the symbol AUT24E, has been given a separate rating of “B-”.

In 2021 Autonom published its Sustainability Strategy announcing the organisation's commitment to sustainable development. The main objective is to reduce its carbon footprint by 25% by 2025 and 51% by 2030.

Autonom listed in 2021 on the Bucharest Stock Exchange the first Sustainability-Linked Bonds, a first on the Romanian capital market, worth 48.03 million euro, part of an MTN programme worth a total of 250 million euro.

In 2022 Autonom received a 15 million euro grant from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to expand its fleet of electric and hybrid cars.
